Poppy Seed Dressing
A creamy dressing for fruit salad
Yield: Makes 1-1/2 cups
Ingredients

sugar

teaspoon |
salt
|

| 1 |
teaspoon |
dry mustard
|
|
|
| 1 |
teaspoon |
fresh grated lemon peel
|
|
|
| 1 |
teaspoon |
finely minced onion
|
|
|
| 1/3 |
cup |
fresh squeezed lemon juice
|
|
|
| 3/4 |
cup |
olive oil or salad oil
|
|
|
|
|
Few drops red food coloring
|
|
|
| 1 |
tablespoon |
poppy seeds
|
|
|
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except food coloring and poppy seeds in electric blender or covered container. Cover and blend or shake until throughly mixed. Tint mixture to a delicate pink color with a drop or two of red food coloring. Stir in poppy seeds. Chill before serving with fresh fruits in season.
